Afya MD, LLC narrative started in 2010, Our founders set out to address the lack of qualified healthcare professionals in the United States. Afya MD, LLC was founded with a mission to ensure that every American has access to high quality healthcare when and where they need it. Afya MD, LLC cooperative hoping to serve the human body system which include the circulatory, digestive, nervous, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, lymphatic, urinary, integumentary, and reproductive systems. Each system has specific functions, and they interact to maintain homeostasis, the body's internal balance, Afya MD cooperative will strive to corporate though our cooperative medical partitioners, half the global health workforce and a current and growing shortage is of great concern.
While statistics on the size of the shortage vary, there is consensus among stakeholders that the global shortfall of practitioner’s numbers is in the millions with some world regions and nations being disproportionately impacted. It is with this in mind that Afya MD, LLC cooperative puts forth the following principled approach to the ethical recruitment and sustainability of global nurses.
Not only do we practice ethical recruitment, but we invest in the global and domestic supply of nurses through our Light the Way efforts, providing specialized training, nurse educator training, certification training, and nurse recognition across the globe.
